Dr. Md Mostafizur Rahman of CCR 26th Batch Receives 2026 FiNR Scholarship Award

The Rangpur Old Cadets’ Association (ROCA) proudly congratulates Dr. Md Mostafizur Rahman, MBBS, MS, a distinguished member of the 26th Batch of Rangpur Cadet College (CCR), on receiving the prestigious 2026 Futures in Neurologic Research (FiNR) Scholarship Award in recognition of his significant contributions to neuroscience research.

He received this honour at the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Annual Meeting 2026 in Chicago, one of the world’s leading gatherings in neurology and neuroscience. This achievement is a remarkable recognition of his talent, dedication to research, and sustained hard work.

His research explores how a genetic process called alternative splicing regulates the functions of calcium and potassium ion channels. Abnormalities in these channels are associated with epilepsy and various other neurological disorders. His work aims to identify the molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions and contribute to the development of more effective and targeted treatments.
